Anthony Waterman, Director and Service Leader for Life Cycle Costing and Life Cycle Assessment at ADW Developments Ltd, meets and exceeds the BRE’s definition of a ‘Competent Person’. Anthony has over 20 years of professional experience specialising in life cycle costing and assessments, providing expert guidance and consultancy services for projects across various sectors, including new builds, refurbishments, and fit-outs.

Anthony is an active contributor to international best practice, serving as a member of the BSI/ISO committee ISO/TC 59/SC 14/WG 4 (Maintenance and Life Cycle Costing). His role involves the ongoing development and refinement of international standards referenced by the BREEAM technical manuals and their associated compliance documentation.

In addition, Anthony holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Construction Economics and Management, awarded by University College London in 2001, underscoring his deep academic and practical understanding of economic management within construction.

Industry Training and Leadership

Anthony regularly conducts specialist online training on “Life Cycle Costing for BREEAM”, previously delivered in collaboration with the BRE Academy. His sessions comprehensively address detailed methodologies for elemental and component-level costings, enabling professionals and project stakeholders to fully understand and implement BREEAM-compliant cost analyses.
